Your city walk, every day and in every language

A guide is wonderful, but not every visitor turns up at eleven on a Saturday. With an audio tour, your route runs seven days a week, on your walkers’ own phones.

Your route, always available

You add the stops of your walk to the tour and tell the story at each one. Visitors look at the building in front of them instead of at their screen.

Walkers start with a QR code on a sign, a link in your city marketing or from your own website. For tourist information offices and local councils, it’s a way to offer routes without extra guides. For residents, it’s a reason to take a fresh look at their own town.

Why this works for a city walk

More reach, less scheduling.

  • No guides to schedule

The route keeps running, out of season and on quiet days too.

  • For every visitor

The same walk in Dutch, German, English or Polish. You choose from more than 70 languages.

  • Automatic on location

With GPS triggers, the right story starts in the right place.

  • No app needed

Walkers scan and listen straight away in their browser, on their own phone.

  • Then and now

An old photo or a video at every stop, next to the building as it is today.

  • See what works

You see how often each stop is played and which stops are skipped, for each language.

The story starts by itself at the place it’s about. More about GPS triggers

A route that moves with the city

Scaffolding, a closed street or a new artwork: in a city, something is always changing.

If you switch a stop off temporarily, your walkers simply walk past it until the street reopens.

  • Switch a stop off temporarily during works
  • One change, every language updated
  • View it on your own web address first, then go live
  • Always go back to the previous version

How it works on a city walk

A Polish family walks your route on a Sunday afternoon, without a guide, in Polish and at their own pace.

  1. 1At the starting pointA QR code on a sign at the starting point, in your leaflet or on your website. Walkers scan it and choose their language.
  2. 2Along the wayEvery stop has a sign with a QR code and a number. Or the story starts by itself as soon as they arrive.
  3. 3At every stopThey listen as often as they like and simply look around while they do.

Frequently asked questions

Do walkers need an app?

No. They scan the QR code with their camera and listen in the browser on their own phone. They don’t need an account either.

Does the tour work when the network is busy?

The tour streams the audio for each stop and that uses little data. A weak signal is usually enough.

How accurate are the GPS triggers?

Outdoors, they’re usually accurate enough for stops that are tens of metres apart. You decide how big the zone around a stop is.

Can walkers choose the route themselves?

Yes. They walk at their own pace and choose which stop to open: from the list in the tour, with the QR code or by typing in the number.
